Bio
The Ians are a Melbourne (Naarm)-based rock band known for their high-energy, chaotic and theatrical approach to live performance. Self-described as a “band of pirates,” they deliver an explosive blend of indie rock, punk, and grunge-influenced rock ’n’ roll, combining humour, storytelling, and raw live energy. Formed through the Melbourne underground scene, the band has built a reputation for their intense and entertaining shows, featuring loud guitars, driving rhythms, and a strong DIY spirit. Their music often channels influences from classic rock, punk, and grunge while maintaining a distinctly modern, tongue-in-cheek identity shaped by their live performances and scene culture. The Ians are known for their theatrical branding and immersive gigs, often described as unpredictable, loud, and highly engaging experiences for audiences across Melbourne’s live music circuit.
