Bio
The Jives are a Melbourne, Victoria rock band whose sound blends catchy indie rock with energetic guitar-driven songwriting. Formed by members Declan, Kieram, Jame, and Benji—who jokingly say they first met at a Tupperware party in 2003 before eventually starting the band—the group has built a reputation for upbeat, melodic tracks with a nostalgic alternative rock feel. Their music features jangly guitars, infectious hooks, and lively rhythms, showcased in songs such as "Lean Upon," "Sick As Sally," and "Say Enough." The latter earned praise from triple j presenters for its dreamy textures, enthusiasm, and '90s-inspired sound, helping establish the band within Australia's independent music scene.
