The Jungle Giants are an Australian indie rock / indie pop band from Brisbane, Queensland, formed in 2011. The four-piece—Sam Hales, Cesira Aitken, Andrew Dooris, and Keelan Bijker—met in high school and have since grown into one of Australia’s most successful modern indie acts. They are known for their evolving sound, which began as guitar-driven indie rock and has expanded into danceable indie-pop and alternative pop with electronic influences. Their music blends catchy melodies, groove-heavy rhythms, and emotionally reflective lyrics, making them a staple in both festival and mainstream indie scenes. The band has released multiple albums, including Learn to Exist (2013), Speakerzoid (2015), Quiet Ferocity (2017), and Love Signs (2021), with hits like “Feel the Way I Do” and “Heavy Hearted” achieving major success and chart recognition. They’ve built a strong reputation for high-energy live performances and consistent Triple J support, including multiple entries in the Hottest 100 and platinum-certified singles.
