Bio
The Mods are a genre‑blending four‑piece rock band from regional Victoria, Australia, on Wurundjeri Country, active since around 2022. The group — featuring Chelsea (drums/vocals), Aubrey (bass/vocals), Sunday (guitar/vocals) and Jack (guitar/pedals) — formed while members were still in high school music classes and quickly built a reputation through local live shows and music competition wins. Known for fusing rock, jazz, alt‑folk, pop and psychedelic influences into a dynamic and eclectic sound, The Mods released their self‑titled debut album in early 2024, a ten‑track exploration of modern adolescence written, recorded and produced by the band throughout the previous year. Their performance highlights include opening the 2023 Macedon Ranges Music Festival at Hanging Rock and headlining the 2023 Battle of the Bands at Castlemaine’s Theatre Royal. With new material in the works and a growing live‑music presence around Victoria, The Mods are establishing themselves in the Australian indie scene with a fresh, multifaceted approach to contemporary rock.
