Bio
The Response are a New Zealand indie rock and electro‑pop duo from Ōtautahi (Christchurch) made up of vocalist/guitarist Andy Knopp and multi‑instrumentalist Victoria Knopp. Formed in 2012, they write, produce, mix and master their own music, crafting emotive songs that blend melodic hooks, electronic minimalism and thoughtful songwriting. They’ve released several albums and EPs — including Novel Idea — and supported international acts like Baio (of Vampire Weekend), Deep Sea Diver, Big Scary and Kate Boy on tour. Known for dynamic live shows and evocative soundscapes, their work explores themes of self‑discovery, connection and emotional nuance.
