The Vasco Era are a rock and blues trio from Apollo Bay, Victoria, Australia, made up of brothers Sid and Ted O’Neil and drummer Michael “Fitzy” Fitzgerald. Formed in the early 2000s, they gained attention for their raw, high-energy sound and intense live performances, winning the Australian National Campus Band Competition in 2004. Their debut album Oh We Do Like to Be Beside the Seaside (2007) and follow-ups Lucille (2010) and The Vasco Era (2011) earned critical praise. After a long hiatus, the band returned in 2025 with new music, including the single and album I Don’t Mind, showcasing both their loud, gritty side and softer emotional tones. They remain known for their passionate vocals and dynamic rock performances.
