Bio
Tom River is an Australian singer-songwriter and indie folk artist known for his intimate, emotionally driven songwriting and atmospheric acoustic production. Originally from Margaret River, he is also one half of the internationally recognised duo Salt Tree before launching his solo project. His music blends indie folk, folk pop, and alternative pop, characterised by soft vocals, reflective lyricism, and minimal yet cinematic arrangements. After years of international touring, busking, and self-production, Tom River began focusing on deeply personal solo material written between Australia and Europe. His songs often explore themes of distance, connection, memory, and self-reflection, delivered through warm acoustic textures and subtle modern pop influences. His upcoming EP (2026) marks a new chapter in his evolution as a solo artist.
