Tommy Genesis is a boundary-pushing artist, songwriter and cultural force who has spent nearly a decade challenging norms and carving her own lane as a true multi-hyphenate, multi-medium artist. She’s long been known for her fearless lyricism, experimental sound, and unshakable creative vision with critically acclaimed releases like her debut Tommy Genesis, Goldilocks X, and the collaborative project World on Fire with Charlie Heat. Now, she returns with Genesis, out via Ultra Records on July 25. Titled after her given name, Genesis is her most intimate, expansive, and self-defining body of work to date. The album pulls back the curtain on the person behind the persona, offering raw reflections on identity, sexuality, vulnerability, and personal growth. Genesis artfully highlights the signature spoken-word rap flows and avant-garde production that minted Tommy as an underground icon with striking singles such as “True Blue” and “Girl’s Girl.”
