Bio
Veps are a four-piece indie pop band from Oslo, Norway, formed in 2018 by childhood friends Laura Dodson (guitar/vocals), June K. Urholt (bass), Helena Mariero Olasveengen (keys/vocals), and Maja Beitrusten Berge (drums). They began making music together at just 14 and developed their sound through Oslo's DIY scene. Their music combines 90s indie aesthetics, catchy pop hooks, alternative rock and a raw DIY energy. After self-releasing early singles, they signed to Kanine Records and released their debut EP Open The Door in 2021, followed by Oslo Park in 2022 and Dedicated To: in 2024. In 2025, Veps signed with Swedish independent label PNKSLM. Their third album, ChurchyardStreet 8B, was released in May 2026, marking another step in the band's evolution while retaining their melodic, energetic indie-pop identity.
