Bio
vgtbl.pl is a Polish experimental music duo that emerged from Warsaw's DIY underground scene. Formerly known as Franek Warzywa & Młody Budda, the pair rebranded as vgtbl.pl ahead of the release of their debut album, Vegetables Worldwide (2025), while keeping the playful vegetable-themed identity that first gained them attention. The duo has built a reputation for combining internet-age absurdist humor with thoughtful social commentary. Their music embraces chaos rather than fitting into a single genre, blending hyperpop, electronic music, punk, Brazilian funk (baile funk), breakbeats, jazz, metal, and pop into energetic, unpredictable songs. Their performances and visuals are equally unconventional, reflecting a post-internet aesthetic that is humorous, theatrical, and deliberately eccentric. Despite the lighthearted vegetable imagery, vgtbl.pl's lyrics often explore serious themes such as identity, depression, finding one's place in the world, and contemporary Polish culture. The duo describes their work as music made "with a smile, but seriously," balancing satire with genuine emotional depth. Their debut album, Vegetables Worldwide, celebrates Polish identity through an eclectic mix of global musical influences, juxtaposing Chopin-inspired melodies with Brazilian funk, metal, smooth jazz, and electronic dance music. Before adopting the vgtbl.pl name, the duo released the EPs Wykopki (2023) and Komputer (2024), which established their signature mix of hyperpop, experimental electronics, and punk energy. Under their new identity, they have expanded their international profile with performances at festivals across Europe and releases including "Nice from Poland," "Krasnoludki," "Paper Plane," "BOBER (WHO AM I)," "Train of Love," and "Follow My Dream." vgtbl.pl are not a DJ act. They perform live concerts, combining vocals, electronic production, performance art, and high-energy stage shows that blur the line between pop concert, rave, and multimedia performance.
