Bio
Virescent are a heavy music band from Newcastle, New South Wales, blending elements of metal, punk, and hip-hop into a raw, aggressive sound. Their music is driven by hard-hitting guitar riffs, intense rhythms, and vocal delivery that crosses between melodic and heavier styles. The band features a traditional live setup—vocals, guitar, bass, and drums—and leans into a high-energy, underground aesthetic rooted in Australia’s local heavy scene. Tracks like Corruption and Misguided showcase their focus on intensity, distortion-heavy production, and emotionally charged themes. Their genre crossover places them in a hybrid space between modern metal and punk with hip-hop influence, giving their sound a gritty and experimental edge.
