wave to earth is a South Korean indie band formed in 2019 in Seoul. The group consists of Kim Daniel (vocals, guitar), Cha Soonjong (bass), and Shin Donggyu (drums). Known for their soft and airy sound, the band blends elements of indie rock, lo-fi, and jazz-infused pop to create music that feels both intimate and cinematic. They debuted with the single wave in 2019, followed by the EPs wave 0.01 (2020) and summer flows 0.02 (2021). Their first full-length album, 0.1 flaws and all (2023), established them as one of Korea’s leading indie acts, praised for its warm analog production and contemplative lyrics. wave to earth’s music is self-produced under the label Wavy, emphasizing minimalism, emotion, and authenticity. Singing mostly in English, they’ve cultivated a global audience, touring across Asia, North America, and Europe in 2023–2024. Their aesthetic — marked by lo-fi visuals, watercolor tones, and smooth jazz-inspired instrumentation — has made them one of the most recognizable voices in Korea’s modern indie scene.
