Bio
Whitney is an American indie/folk-rock band formed in Chicago in 2015 by Max Kakacek (guitar) and Julien Ehrlich (vocals, drums) after their previous band Smith Westerns broke up. They started writing music together in early 2015, using the name “Whitney” not just as a band name, but as a fictional/mystical persona or headspace to help direct their songwriting.
