WhoMadeWho is a Danish trio from Copenhagen, formed in 2003, comprising bassist/vocalist Tomas Høffding, guitarist/vocalist Jeppe Kjellberg, and drummer/producer Tomas Barfod. Their music is a fusion of electronic, rock, and jazz elements, creating a distinctive and emotionally resonant sound that has captivated audiences worldwide. WhoMadeWho began with a sound rooted in indie rock and dance-punk, releasing their self-titled debut album in 2005 on the German label Gomma Records. Over time, they have evolved towards a more electronic and experimental style, incorporating elements of house, techno, and alternative dance. Their music is characterized by emotive melodies, intricate rhythms, and a blend of organic and electronic instrumentation. ​ The band's diverse musical backgrounds contribute to their unique sound:​ Tomas Høffding: Brings a rock influence from his previous experience in Danish garage-rock bands.​ Jeppe Kjellberg: Adds jazz elements, having a background as a jazz guitarist.​ Tomas Barfod: Infuses electronic and techno influences, also known for his solo work as a DJ and producer.
