Bio
Yacht Rock Revival are an Australian live tribute band based in Melbourne that celebrates the smooth rock and soft‑rock sounds of the 1970s and early 1980s, often referred to as “Yacht Rock.” The group performs classic light rock hits with breezy, feel‑good vibes — the kind of music that blends melodic hooks, smooth grooves, tight harmonies and immaculate musicianship reminiscent of icons like The Doobie Brothers, Hall & Oates, Toto, Michael McDonald, Steely Dan and Christopher Cross. Their shows typically feature a large ensemble (often 8‑piece or more) bringing this era’s beloved tracks to life in live performances, special themed shows (like Studio 54 disco nights) and event gigs across clubs, theatres and festivals throughout Australia. Whether for corporate bookings, parties or public concerts, they deliver nostalgic, crowd‑pleasing sets that capture the smooth, upbeat spirit of classic soft rock and yacht‑era hits. In essence, Yacht Rock Revival reimagines and pays homage to the golden age of smooth rock with polished live performances, blending tight musicianship with iconic songs that resonate with fans of 70s/80s melodic rock and soft pop.
