TR!P 29 - Neon Nightmares takes place at 24 Moons in Northcote on October 26, 2024.
Having moved from AC/DC Lane in Melbourne's CBD, 24 Moon is one of the main nightclub and event spaces in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. Surrounded by apartments and factories, 24 Moon embodies the Northside culture of being a bit grungey, hidden and bespoke.
The Crowd ultimately depends on what events are on. Typically there are rotating promoters, new and proven, that give the iconic venue a shot with a various styles of electronic music. The music ranges from trance, prog house, techno and DnB.
Sometimes the venue is used for live music, comedy shows and various other forms of entertainment.
As you walk up the stairs into the front bar, the space is filled with random and quirky decorations. The main area is relatively simple with the stage at the front end and a bar at the back. The venue has an array of lighting equipment and white coned speakers that are built for resonating low end and high frequencies. There are a range of TV screens before going up the stairs that show static. The room upstairs has a DJ booth in an old bar/kitchen area and is very dark, it also has a view of the main area.
