Allegra Krieger (USA)

Allegra Krieger is a songwriter, composer & multi-instrumentalist based in New York City. She has released six albums to date, the latest of which was described by Rolling Stone as “ten songs of heady philosophical meanderings packed with emotional dynamite,” and likened her “finely phrased lyrics” to those of “Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, and David Berman.”

New York Times: “Deceptively understated songwriter”

Aquarium Drunkard: Krieger sings measured soliloquies recounting her memories, observations, and curiosities straddling the mortal and divine. Finger-picked guitars float like sunlight, illuminating forgotten corners of the universe where Krieger finds inspiration.

Paste: The NYC singer-songwriter’s fourth album skates with ease between cosmic surrealism and grounded, conversational lyrics, and its poetry is a well-oiled, ghostly apparatus only she sees in full… Krieger’s poetry is a well-oiled, ghostly machine.. and the music it produces is as heartbreakingly mature as inherited antique jewelry.
