And Roses Wilt in the End

Following three sold-out seasons, NEW OLD NOW returns to the iconic Entertainment Quarter car park with And Roses Wilt in the End, the fourth chapter in Artistic Director and choreographer Davide Di Giovanni's ongoing exploration of life, love, memory and time.

Drawing inspiration from songs of love across cultures and generations, particularly the female voices of Mina and Amália Rodrigues, the work explores the beauty, longing and contradictions of love, and the inevitable passage of time.

Like the roses of its title, And Roses Wilt in the End reflects on the fleeting nature of beauty and the traces left behind by the people, experiences and memories that shape us.

Through a series of evocative, cinematic scenes, movement, music and light come together to explore the emotional landscapes of love and memory. Set against the raw architecture of the car park, NON creates an immersive theatrical experience that blurs the boundaries between contemporary dance, theatre and film.

Two nights only. One hour. No interval.

This performance contains strobe lighting, flashing lights and theatrical smoke effects.

Location: Wilson Carpark, Entertainment Quarter, Level 4, Moore Park.
