Clay J Gladstone – Sunflower Single Tour
Waywards Ballroom at The Bank Hotel324 King St, Newtown NSW 2042, Australia
(AEDT)
with Brooklyn Comic
Some of you close to us might know that while we were rehearsing for our last tour, one of our band members received the heartbreaking news that their best mate had taken their own life. We don’t want to go into too many details, other than to say that from that experience of the shock, the tour that followed, and the grieving process that came after, we wrote something special.
Sunflower is a song about a subject that’s often hard to talk about. Told from the perspective of those who’ve been impacted by loss, and of those who have felt there was no other option, we’ve taken care to approach it using language chosen with care and respect.
Writing Sunflower became something more than just a song. It inspired us to write, record, film a video, and create The Sunflower Tour. It isn’t just a run of shows, this tour is a tribute dedicated to remembrance, connection, and hope.
We’re ready to hit the road to hug, scream, cry and laugh it out with you.
In classic Clay J style, we’re not holding anything back on this tour. Alongside our good friends Brooklyn Comic, we’ll be setting the OZ east coast on fire.
We’ve also partnered with StandBy Support, who welcomed our affected family wholeheartedly, to raise awareness and to support the incredible work they continue to do.
