EMO Rave

The Provincial Hotel on the corner of Brunswick St and Johnson St in Fitzroy is referred to as The Prov by locals. The Provincial is known for its rooftop views of the city skyline and the Fitzroy area.

On a Friday and Saturday, The Prov gets a Dance Floor in the back corner room. It constantly is busy but rarely reaches capacity due to the amount of space in the venue surrounding the dance floor. There is a reasonably sized smokers area/beer garden area out the back.

The music is very commercial and pop-centric. It is likely to play PINK, Miley Cyrus and Harry Styles.

The crowd is slightly older than the sister venue The Perseverance. Where the persa is 18-24 years old, the Prov is 22-28 years old.
