Herah presents: Burning Pyre, ex.sses, Sseq, strand fx

"Burning Pyre is a producer and composer based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Remaining true to his atmospheric and melancholic ambient roots, Burning Pyre has broadened his web of influences to incorporate elements of dub, downtempo and glitch music into his sonic palette. Pairing organically
shifting ambience with skittering percussion, cavernous sub bass and textural pops and clicks, Burning Pyre’s upcoming full-length project, Imago, perfectly encapsulates the gentleness and bittersweet sensibility that has remained a constant throughout his body of work."

ex.sses (she/they) is an experimental producer and DJ. ex.sses fuses heavy bass, broken drums and textural sounds, from her resident shows on Balamii and Netil to her guest mixes on Kindred, Ola Radio, Rinse FM and NTS she has built a bass led palette of sounds, unconfined by genre.
ex.sses’ ties to experimental sound and club culture have since manifested in releases on TT, BAIT, Traverse, Earful of Wax, glint, Cherche Encore and Hard Return and has premiered on DJ Mag, Mixmag and Bad Tips. These releases have gained attention over the years, resulting in dark, club-focused DJ sets for Tropical Waste, Circadian Rhythms, TT, ShellTek and Earful of Wax. Her live electronic performances for IKLEKTIK, Gnojki Samba, glint and Hidden Door Festival expand on ex.sses’ exploration of textural sounds, poetry, physicality, and the gendered body.
