WOOKIE RETURNS TO HOOTANANNY BRIXTON!

A true pioneer of the UK Garage sound returns joins us at Hootananny Brixton for a night celebrating one of the most influential movements in UK dance music.

With a career spanning over three decades, Wookie has played a defining role in shaping the unmistakable sound of UK Garage, blending soulful vocals, deep basslines, intricate 2-step rhythms and infectious grooves that continue to influence dancefloors today.

Responsible for timeless club classics including 'Battle', 'Scrappy' and 'Back Up (To Me)', alongside his iconic remix of Sia's 'Little Man', Wookie helped lay the foundations for a generation of UK producers and DJs. From his early work with Soul II Soul to influencing the likes of Disclosure, Rudimental and Conducta, his contribution to British dance music is undeniable.
