Jazz Manouche at Morocco Bound

Join us at Morocco Bound Bookshop for a new monthly celebration of gypsy jazz, led by one of the UKs finest quartets, Fidelio Hot Club.

Bringing together four of the most sought-after musicians on the London scene - Ray Rafols (violin), Sol Grimshaw (guitar), Cornelius Corkery (guitar), and Toby Yapp (double bass) - Fidelio Hot Club are steeped in the tradition of Django Reinhardt and Stphane Grappelli. But this is far from a museum-piece tribute.

Alongside the authentic hot club sound of 1930s Paris, expect daring and joyful reinventions of music by Dvok, Tchaikovsky, Piazzolla and even David Bowie alongside Django classics and original compositions. Virtuosic, playful, and bursting with energy, this is gypsy jazz with imagination.

Following a successful year of gigging around the country, Radio 3 live broadcasts, and their celebrated residency at Fidelio Caf in Clerkenwell, the band now brings their signature sound to Bermondsey.

Each month will feature the core quartet, with occasional special guests and fresh musical twists making every night unique.
