Lost Tapes: Prince & Jamiroquai

Before Jamiroquai took acid jazz to the global dancefloor, there was Prince. He laid the groundwork for futuristic funk, blending R&B, rock, and synth-pop with an unmatched, flamboyant genius that turned the groove into an absolute force of nature. Decades later, Jay Kay and Jamiroquai picked up the rhythm and carried that same cosmic, genre-defying energy forward, rooted in deep disco-soul and built for the modern era. When Jamiroquai sings of cosmic girls and virtual insanity, they are riding the very same wave of stardust that Prince first unleashed on the world.

The Purple One meets the Space Cowboy.

Lost Tapes asks the question: what would a collaboration between these two sound like? Through DJs, live performance and visuals, we imagine the album that history never gave us, live on London's Largest Rooftop mixed by the legendary Ch Wax.
