Mallrat + Lyric | Tumbalong Nights

Australian pop at its freshest and finest takes over Tumbalong Nights with Mallrat and Lyric, two experts of aching, irresistible anthems.

Since her first songs as a Brisbane teen more than a decade ago, Mallrat has created her own glittering sonic world - a mix of swirling electronica, cloud rap, dream pop and startlingly honest songwriting that includes hits 'Charlie', 'Groceries' and 'Rockstar'.

Off the back of ARIA-nominated second album Light hit my face like a straight right (one of 2025's best Australian albums, per The Guardian), Mallrat brings her electric live show to Tumbalong Nights.

Joining Mallrat is Lyric, the 23-year-old pop wunderkind from the Gold Coast whose sharp and earnest coming-of-age anthems 'Gravity' and 'The Real You' have gone TikTok viral several times.

With just two EPs, Lyric has sold-out solo tours across Europe and Australia, amassing a passionate fanbase and comparisons aplenty to Gracie Abrams, Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo. Catch this rising star on her way up.

Free for all to enjoy, Tumbalong Nights ignites Darling Quarter's Tumbalong Park with 23 nights of music during Vivid Sydney, with a cross-cultural lineup of live music from international legends, Australian icons, emerging stars, plus DJs.
