¡Marimba É! + Moralito: A fundraiser for Colombia

Marimba ! is a brand new project out of East London, dedicated to building community and solidarity around the Afro-Indigenous marimba music of the Pacific coast of Colombia and Ecuador: music of polyrhythms and multi-part harmonies, ancestors and everyday life, celebration and resistance.

Marimba ! events are participatory, accessible, and welcoming to all, and always in collaboration and solidarity with Black-led grassroots efforts in Colombia.

Line-up: live marimba music from the Colombian Pacific by Marimba !, plus a salsa vinyl set by Moralito (@moralitofunky).

Tickets 8 - 20. Further donations are very welcome. No-one turned away for lack of funds.

All proceeds go directly to Afro-Colombian families affected by the earthquake in the Punta del Este neighborhood of Buenaventura, on the Pacific coast.

Doors 7pm. Music from 8pm.
