Get ready for a night of Kiwi classics as New Zealand music legend
Mark Williams
brings a special
Waitangi Day celebration
to
The Bridge Hotel in Rozelle on Saturday 6 February 2027
.
Celebrating the rich musical heritage of Aotearoa, this
one night only
event brings generations together for an evening of some of the biggest anthems to come out of the Land of the Long White Cloud.
With over
50 years in music
, Mark Williams is a legend in his own right. From his solo songbook to the anthems of
Dragon
, the revered Kiwi band he's fronted for over two decades, his remarkable career has established him as one of Australasia's most respected and versatile vocalists.
Now, Mark returns to The Bridge Hotel to pay tribute to the incredible sounds that have shaped Aotearoa's musical identity, featuring the music of
Split Enz, Crowded House, Jenny Morris, The Swingers, Bic Runga, Dave Dobbyn, Hello Sailor
and more.
And of course, no Waitangi Day celebration with Mark Williams would be complete without his own iconic hits, including
Yesterday Was Just The Beginning Of My Life
,
It Doesn't Matter Anymore
and
Show No Mercy
, alongside legendary Dragon favourites such as
April Sun in Cuba
and
Rain
.
Kicking off the festivities will be Mark's daughter, singer and performer
Taylor Beadle-Williams
(semi-finalist on
The Voice Australia
2026
), who'll take to the decks for a special Kiwi-themed DJ set to get the crowd warmed up and the celebrations underway.
More than just a concert, this is a chance to come together, reconnect with home and celebrate the music that makes Aotearoa so special. Whether you're a Kiwi living across the ditch, have New Zealand roots, or simply love a great night of live music, everyone is welcome!
So gather your whānau and your mates and join Mark Williams and his band for a
Waitangi Day party to remember!
Kia kaha, kia ngahau - let's celebrate!
