With Diane DiPrima's Revolutionary Letters evocatively worked into an industrial soundscape by Vyvyan Stewardson, and Max Allen's original costuming emblematic of leaders who offered radical hope to people in the dark, our showgirl of the apocalypse is fully enacted.

The dressing room becomes site of transformation and political organisation, as Sophie builds hysterical character study, movement, live action and dirty tricks into a powerful summoning of the strength needed to live meaningful lives in this, a time of monsters.

Through Sophie's enigmatic and referential choreography, the ritual nature of hope and defeat is embodied as positive endings are sought by the figure of a dreamer. As in her legendary late-night shows, she pushes the body to its extremes hoping to liberate the bodypolitic.
