On Wednesday 30 December, Red Earth Dub Circus welcomes one of the biggest names in contemporary dub to The Rechabite. For this landmark debut,
Red Earth Sound System and Traction Sound System will combine for the very first time
, bringing two WA custom-built systems together to create one monumental wall of sound.

Emerging from the underground scene around Geneva in 2002, O.B.F.—Original Bass Foundation—has helped shape the sound of modern dub. Producer and selector Rico fuses Jamaican reggae foundations, militant UK steppers, dancehall and electronic bass music into an unmistakable sound, built for maximum impact on a sound system. Through legendary Dubquake nights, worldwide touring,

and collaborations with

, O.B.F. has become a defining force in contemporary sound-system culture. At the controls, Rico brings explosive energy: vocal anthems, heavyweight roots & steppers, raw dub pressure and basslines that demand movement.
