Soul of Sydney OPEN AIR feat. Kenny Dope (NYC Hip Hop & House Icon)

An afternoon of Feel-Good FUNK, SOUL, DISCO, HIP HOP, HOUSE & beyond.

DJ support from: SOUL OF SYDNEY DJs & friends + PHIL TOKE

2:00 PM | Sunday, February 28, 2027 | Greenwood Hotel Courtyard

Join us for a very special SOUL OF SYDNEY afternoon as we welcome one of our biggest musical inspirations, New York DJ, producer and remixer KENNY DOPE of MASTERS AT WORK

This one is a little different for us, but it’s something we’ve wanted to make happen for a long time.

Kenny has been part of our music story for years, and we’ve had the pleasure of seeing him play before. We wanted to create an open-air afternoon, surrounded by familiar faces, our tribe and like-minded music heads. A rare chance to catch one of the world’s legendary DJs and producers in an open-air setting, with the freedom to play whatever he’s feeling from HIP HOP TO HOUSE, FUNK, SOUL, DISCO & everything in between.

Away from Masters At Work, Kenny’s catalogue stretches across decades and countless musical worlds. He’s also known for The Bucketheads, including the classic The Bomb! (These Sounds Fall Into My Mind), as well as his work through Dope Wax, Nuyorican Soul, Kay-Dee Records, his legendary edits and his much-loved DJ mixes celebrating hip hop, disco, boogie and underground dance music.

DANCE IN THE KEY OF LIFE.

Come spend an afternoon with us as we celebrate the music, the people and the memories that keep us dancing.

An open-air dancefloor in the Greenwood Hotel courtyard.
