The Crowie is an iconic venue just over the bridge in the north.
Downstairs is like a regular pub, with sport on and a stage for bands/DJs. Upstairs there are multiple rooms. You can be forgiven for thinking you are in a hotel function space with meeting rooms. The main attraction upstairs is the outdoor section, where they put a DJ on and a big screen for sport.
The vibe is undeniably fun. There are bands on Friday night and DJs Saturday that play music you can sing to, and dance of course. It is a pretty age agnostic venue. Young and old go for it.
It is very much a destination and pit stop pub. People go there and plan to stay very late, or stop by on the way home from either the northern beaches or the city.
It closes very late - 6am Friday night and 5am Saturday night.
Rarely are there lines, except the odd occasionally after 12am on Saturday night. Security are notoriously touch to get past.
