Glamorama is a electronic music nightclub on Brunswick St in Fitzroy. Previously called the 'First Floor', Glamorama is now run by Novel the Melbourne touring giants, as well as, a few other groups that own venues throughout Melbourne. Locals call it "Glam" or "Glama".
Glamorama Nightclub is a long rectangular room with a bar, a smoker's area and a small space with couches. The room is essentially dark with intermittent red lighting and lasers. The smoker's area is very popular section of the venue and is very sociable, it is very easy to make friends in there.
The music at Glamorama is essentially house and techno music. Fridays is promoted by 'Northside', whereas Saturdays and Sundays are promoted in house. Glamorama has Funktion 1 speakers, which is world class sound quality and amplification.
The crowd is very northside-centric and on the altsy side of fashion, it is very common to see ironic bum bags and caps. The age range sits around 18-24 years old.
