The Steyne is a behemoth venue in Manly.

We liken it to a labyrinth. The downstairs feels like it has 5 different areas, notably the beer garden, which has a big screen for sport and reliably gets a dance floor on weekends. It is also a renowned punting pub during the day.

Upstairs has two different large rooms and a roof that wraps around all upstairs and has beach views.

At the end of 2021 we voted it the best venue in Sydney. Since then, we have noted that it is very seasonal. In winter, it still gets a crowd but the whole venue doesn't fill out. In summer it is much busier, especially the upstairs which is pretty much empty in winter.

Infrequently they will put on big gigs, including bands and DJs. Usually it is a combination of live music in the afternoons and DJs later.

The crowd is full of Manly and the northern beaches locals. It typically has a 25+ crowd in the early evening, and as it gets later the young crowd file in to dance.
