Ivanhoe Hotel Overview & Experience
Ivanhoe is a deceptively big venue in Manly.
There are three levels. The ground floor usually attracts an older, dinner crowd and has live music.
One level up is more seating, with an indoor jungle type beer garden and space for a DJ and dance floor.
The top level is a room designated for DJs and dancing. On Friday and Saturday they can hold events up here and charge a door fee.
The whole venue has a cruise ship feel to it. The decor resembles a cruise ship, there are multiple levels that interconnect and it is easy to get lost in the venue when going for the first time.
Historically Ivanhoe has been most known for a young crowd and big dance floors and lines. Recently it has not been very busy though. Like the other Manly venues it is seasonal. Winter tends to be a struggle, but summer there is a natural flow of people.
