Bio
ALTAV are a Melbourne‑based alternative rock outfit known for their dynamic, guitar‑driven sound and female‑led vocal hooks that blend catchy melodies with expressive rock energy. The band creates music that sits at the intersection of rock, pop and experimental textures, combining heavier riffs with atmospheric and emotionally varied songwriting. Their tracks showcase both punchy, powerful moments and more delicate, ambient sections, reflecting a broad musical range and a willingness to explore diverse sonic moods. Since emerging on the Melbourne scene, ALTAV have released singles like “PANIC ATTACK” and “Lace”, and continued expanding their sound with their 2026 release “Sirens” — a track that blends driving riffs with spacey ambience, drawing comparisons to bands such as *Radiohead* and *Pink Floyd* while retaining their own distinct identity. ALTAV’s live performances are noted for their electric presence and engaging dynamics, making them a standout act in Melbourne’s vibrant live music circuit and beyond.
