Bio
Bad Juju are a Melbourne-based alternative rock band known for their explosive blend of grunge, nu-metal, and modern hardcore influences. Emerging in 2017, the band quickly gained attention with their hard-hitting, 90s-inspired grunge sound, debuting with the track *“Bloom,”* which received strong support from triple j Unearthed. Their early releases, including the EP *Hidden Desire*, showcased a balance of melodic hooks and aggressive energy, helping them secure national airplay and build momentum within Australia’s alternative scene. Bad Juju continued to evolve their sound with their 2023 debut album *Blue Heaven*, followed by the heavier, darker EP *Simulacra* (2025). Their music fuses grunge grit, nu-metal crunch, and hardcore intensity, often exploring themes of identity, emotional struggle, and the impact of modern digital life. Renowned for their high-energy live performances, the band has shared stages with major international and local acts including Mayday Parade, The Ghost Inside, Boston Manor, Movements, and Trophy Eyes, while also appearing at events like BIGSOUND. With a growing catalogue and a reputation for powerful, mosh-ready shows, Bad Juju continue to establish themselves as one of Australia’s most exciting emerging heavy alternative acts.
