Howler Overview & Experience
The Howler is a bar and concert venue. The Howler is an old warehouse or factory of some sort, nestled in a carpark, on Dawson St just off Sydney Rd in Brunswick.
The bar area is one of the most aesthetically pleasing and trendy sections of a venue in Melbourne. Part of the roof in the bar area is not present except for some of the metal framing, which allows a lot of sunlight into the venue during day parties. Immersed throughout the Howler is several rows of garden beds, hanging plants and large plant pots.
The stage area is similar to most concert spaces. The crowd and music is completely dependent on the artist playing that evening.
The Howler is at its best when it has day parties in the bar area. Different promoters run the day parties so the crowd and DJs can vary but the vibe is most of the time very similar, in that, it pumps and more often that is very friendly.
