Be’lakor is a melodic death/progressive metal band from Melbourne, Australia, formed in 2004 and named after a character in Warhammer Fantasy. They debuted with The Frail Tide (2007) before gaining international recognition with Stone’s Reach (2009), which won Metal Storm’s “Best Melodeath/Gothenburg Metal Album” that year. Their later albums—Of Breath and Bone (2012), Vessels (2016), and Coherence (2021)—cemented their reputation for layered, atmospheric compositions blending aggression and melody. Lyrically, their songs explore nature, mythology, philosophy, and spirituality. Be’lakor has performed at major festivals such as Brutal Assault and Summer Breeze, and supported acts like Apocalyptica and At the Gates. In 2025, they announced their first North American tour. The current lineup includes George Kosmas (vocals, guitars), Shaun Sykes (guitars), Steven Merry (keyboards), John Richardson (bass), and Elliott Sansom (drums).
