Donavon Frankenreiter is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, and former professional surfer from Downey, California. He began surfing professionally as a teenager before turning to music in the early 2000s. His self-titled debut album, released in 2004 on Jack Johnson’s Brushfire Records, introduced his signature blend of warm, easy-going soft rock and surf-inspired acoustic grooves. Often compared to artists like Jack Johnson and Ben Harper, Frankenreiter’s style fuses folk, soul, and Americana with laid-back coastal influences. Albums such as Move By Yourself (2006), Glow (2010), and The Heart (2015) showcase his mellow vocals and uplifting songwriting. In addition to his solo career, he continues to perform worldwide at surf and roots festivals, celebrating a lifestyle that bridges surf culture and soulful songwriting.
