Jeff Lang is an acclaimed Australian guitarist, singer, and songwriter, celebrated for his virtuosic slide guitar playing and deeply emotive songwriting. Emerging in the early 1990s, Lang carved a reputation for blending folk storytelling, blues grit, and rock energy into a style all his own. His live performances are renowned for their intensity and improvisation, earning him respect as one of Australia’s leading roots musicians. Over his career, Lang has released numerous albums, including Disturbed Folk, Carried in Mind (which won the ARIA Award for Best Blues and Roots Album in 2012), and Some Memories Never Die (2020), his part-memoir, part-song collection. He has collaborated with international artists such as Mali’s Mamadou Diabaté, US guitarist Bob Brozman, and Australia’s Chris Whitley, further cementing his global reputation.
