Bio
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard is a highly prolific Australian rock band formed in Melbourne in 2010. Known for their constantly shifting sound, the group explores psychedelic rock, garage rock, prog rock, thrash metal, jazz fusion, microtonal compositions, and experimental styles—often reinventing themselves from album to album. They are widely regarded as one of the most innovative and ambitious modern rock bands. Their discography includes more than two dozen studio albums, notable works including Nonagon Infinity, Flying Microtonal Banana, Infest the Rats’ Nest, I’m in Your Mind Fuzz, and Polygondwanaland (famously released copyright-free). Their intense, high-energy live shows have earned them a devoted global fanbase, and their improvisational extended jams have become iconic among fans of psychedelic and experimental rock.
