Bio
Kisschasy are an Australian rock band formed in 2002 in Melbourne, Victoria, consisting of Darren Cordeux (vocals, guitar), Joel Vanderuit (bass), Sean Thomas (guitar), and Karl Ammitzboll (drums). They became one of the defining voices of Australia’s mid‑2000s alternative rock and emo‑leaning scene, scoring hits like “Do‑Do’s & Whoa‑Oh’s” and “Opinions Won’t Keep You Warm at Night,” and releasing gold‑certified albums including United Paper People (2005) and Hymns for the Nonbeliever (2007). After a successful initial decade (2002–2015) with multiple ARIA nominations and extensive touring, Kisschasy disbanded in 2015 before reuniting in 2022 for Good Things Festival appearances and national tours. They returned to recording in 2025 with new singles like “Lie To Me” and “Parasite,” and announced a new album The Terrors of Comfort for 2026, continuing their legacy as influential figures in Australian rock.
