Bio
Lagwagon are an American punk rock band formed in 1989 in Goleta, California, and are widely regarded as pioneers of the melodic hardcore and skate punk sound. Closely associated with the influential Fat Wreck Chords label, they helped shape 1990s punk alongside bands like NOFX, Pennywise, and Bad Religion. Known for their fast tempos, technical musicianship, and emotionally reflective lyrics, Lagwagon blend aggressive punk energy with melodic songwriting. Their early releases, including Duh (1992) and Trashed (1994), became staples of the skate punk movement, while later albums such as Hoss (1995), Let’s Talk About Feelings (1998), and Hang (2019) showcased increased lyrical depth and maturity. The band has maintained long-term relevance through consistent touring and a loyal global fanbase.
