Bio
Mind Stain is a four‑piece punk rock band from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, known for raw energy, hard‑charging riffs, and a DIY punk ethos deeply rooted in the city’s independent music scene. The group carries forward a legacy inspired by an earlier incarnation of the act from the 1990s — with current singer Sebastian Alexiou continuing the name alongside guitarist Harvey Coombs, bassist Seb Van Trojen, and drummer Gray Wesley. Emerging as a staple on local Melbourne punk bills, Mind Stain has released rock‑driven recordings including the “Circa 1994” EP (2023) and “Full Stain” EP (2025), reflecting their commitment to punchy, riff‑forward songwriting. Their 2025 single “Old Big Bald Man” further showcases the band’s hard‑edged punk sound. On stage, Mind Stain brings high‑energy live performances to venues around Melbourne such as The Old Bar and The Workers Club, often sharing lineups with fellow punk, rock, and alternative acts. Their music channels classic punk influences while maintaining an unmistakably local and uncompromising identity within Australia’s vibrant underground rock circuit.
