Bio
O & The Mo is a Wellington, New Zealand–based band led by Olivia Gallagher and Alvin Bartley. Their music blends folk-based songwriting with dreamlike textures, Balearic and rhythmic elements, and subtle psychedelic flourishes. Their 2025 album Make Way For The Sun is described as "sunbaked psych-folk / rock" with wide influences, while their earlier In Transit (2020) showed their evolving sound under lockdown conditions. They often record in a home / remote studio setting and incorporate organic ambient sounds into their music.
