Bio
Platonic Sex is a Brisbane (Meanjin), Australia-based indie/rock band formed around 2018 at university, fronted by vocalist/guitarist Bridget Brandolini (they/them), alongside members Ryan Hammermeister (drums), Jane Milroy (multi-instrumentalist) and Jess Cameron (bass). They released their debut EP Grip in 2022, which garnered critical attention and led to them being named a feature artist on Triple J Unearthed. Their debut album Face to the Flywire is set for release on 19 September 2025. Their sound blends emotionally honest lyrics about growth, identity, relationships and place, with guitar-driven melodies that merge indie rock, folk storytelling and alternative rock
