Sui Zhen is the musical project of Chinese-Malaysian Australian artist, musician, and creative producer Becky Sui Zhen Freeman. Based in Melbourne/Naarm, she is known for crafting experimental pop that blends electronic music, art-pop, dream pop, performance art, and conceptual storytelling into immersive audiovisual worlds. Her work often explores identity, grief, technology, digital culture, memory, and emotional disconnection in modern life. Across releases such as *Secretly Susan* and *Losing, Linda*, Sui Zhen has developed a surreal and cinematic artistic style, combining dreamy electronic production, Japanese city-pop and post-punk influences, ambient textures, and emotionally vulnerable songwriting. Beyond her solo work, she has collaborated with artists including Mindy Meng Wang and Andras Fox, while also working across sound design, radio, and multimedia art projects.
