Bio
The Cheaks are a four-piece indie rock band from Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. The members are Flynn Devon (lead vocals & guitar), Hayden Pearce (lead guitar), Jethro Bowen (bass guitar), and Beau Dalton (drums) They’ve been building momentum with multiple singles since 2023, including Too Hot in the Afternoon and No Love Anymore. Their track Starting Again was released in 2024 as part of the announcement of their debut EP Sirens. Most recently, in 2025, they released Wildfire and The Kids. Their sound features energetic indie guitar riffs, anthemic choruses, reverb and distortion, sometimes combining brighter “jangly” guitar tones with more intense dynamics (e.g. tracks that shift in energy). Their lyrics often deal with emotional themes like letting go, growing, and navigating change.
