Bio
The Empty Threats are an Australian punk rock band from Adelaide, known for their chaotic energy, sharp humor, and politically charged lyrics. Emerging from the local DIY scene, the group has built a reputation for high-intensity live shows that blend satire with social commentary. Their sound sits within punk rock, garage punk, and egg punk, often characterized by fast-paced instrumentation, raw production, and quirky, offbeat vocal delivery. Lyrically, they tackle themes like modern anxiety, consumer culture, and everyday absurdities, balancing irreverence with critique. The Empty Threats have gained traction in Australia’s underground circuit through consistent touring and releases that capture their unpolished, frenetic style, making them a standout act in the country’s contemporary punk scene.
