Bio
TILE is a four-piece alt-rock band from Naarm/Melbourne, led by vocalist and guitarist James Morris alongside Bek, Max, and Tom. Their sound blends post-punk tension, indie rock guitar work and driving rhythms, paired with baritone new-wave vocals and sharp, melodic hooks. Their songwriting explores the emotional shifts of early adulthood — relationships, mental health, growth and the messiness that comes with it — delivered with an energy that balances urgency and introspection. Drawing influence from bands like The Cure, Bloc Party and Interpol, TILE craft songs that are atmospheric, punchy and full of forward momentum.
